						Colonies may form a continuous cover over the substrates several meters across although individual colonies are seldom over one meter across. It has the same skeletal structure as Euphyllia divisa and polyps have large tubular tentacles with anchor, hammer or t shaped tips.  Blue-grey to orange in color with pale cream or green outer borders to the tentacles.					
				
				
						
			
			
			
			
				
					Found in shallow environments exposed to moderate wave action (Ref. 847).  On reef slopes from mid-reef to deeper water and rocky outcrops (Ref. 98471)

					Mature gametes are shed into the coelenteron and spawned through the mouth.  Life cycle:  The zygote develops into a planktonic planula larva.  Metamorphosis begins with early morphogenesis of tentacles, septa and pharynx before larval settlement on the aboral end (Ref. 833).
