A benthic, freshwater species that grows on submerged objects, forming colonies of identical zooids. Generally sessile but motility has been observed in this species. Hermaphroditic reproduction as well as clonal asexual reproduction through budding. Suspension feeders on organic particles (Ref. 96638).
