Shell is small, high, slender, with 7-8 flat to slightly rounder whorls. Sutures are slightly impressed. There are numerous axial ribs on the upper whorls, but not as pronounced on the body whorl. Outer lip straight, columella smooth, and siphonal canal is short. Shell is light grey in color, with the aperture being dark grey. Operculum is transparent and horny.
Found on rocks in lower and midtidal areas of protected bays (Ref. 128877). Also in mangrove areas, part of both epibenthic and arboreal communities (Ref. 128397).
