Found along the neritic zone, in reef areas (Ref. 97241); from the intertidal region to 238 m in depth (Ref. 76997). Subtidal (Ref. 106854). A filter-suspension feeder/direct bottom-deposit feeder known to feed on plankton, phytobenthos, larval forms, and detritus (Ref. 97241). Also found amongst Mytilisepta virgata beds on exposed rocky shores (Ref. 126136).
