Fan-shaped. Very thick and coarse (Ref. 89283).
Occurs in fore reef slope (Ref. 87158) and on mangrove prop roots, coral rubble, rocks or other hard substrates from shallow up to 120 m depth (Ref. 83908). In Belize, it was found in a submarine cave near Columbus Cay (Ref. 87209).
