These are small whales with some resemblance to the sperm whales, but with well-defined dorsal fins. They have a "shark-like" appearance, with the upper jaw protruding far over the lower jaw and the presence of a single false "gill aperture" (resembling a bracket) on each flank (Ref. 68590). |
