Definition of Term

recruitment
(English) Usually refers to the addition of new individuals to the fished component of stock. It may also refer to new additions to sub-components, e.g., `recruitment to the fishery' refers to fish entering the actual fishery, and this is determined by the size and age at which they are first caught. recrutement
(French) Se refère à l'addition des nouveaux individus au composant pêché de population. Il peut faire référence aussi aux nouvelles additions aux sous-composants, par exemple, `recrutement à la pêcherie' se réfère aux poissons qui entrent dans la pêcherie réelle, et cela est déterminé par la taille et l'âge auquel ils sont attrapés en premier lieu. recrutamento
(Portuguese) Refere-se usualmente à chegada de novos indivíduos ao stock explorável. Também se pode referir à entrada de novos indivíduos à pescaria e isto é determinado pela idade e tamanho com que são capturados pela primeira vez. (See also: fishery, life cycle)
