Distribution:  Indo-Pacific, Mediterranean Sea and the Antarctic. Tropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in the lower intertidal. Free-living. Reported from holdfast of kelps (Ref. 107169). Members of the family Syllidae may be detritivores, deposit feeders or carnivores (Ref. 87179).
