Environment:  sessile; brackish; marine; depth range 0 - 37 m
Distribution:  Eastern Central Pacific and Western Central Atlantic: Hawaii and Caribbean wide.
Diagnosis:  Massive amorphous to lobate, with smooth, to tuberculate surface. Bright red or orange red. Oscules: 1 - 2 cm wide on top of lobes. Soft, compressible, easily torn (Ref. 415).
