Environment:  benthopelagic; marine; depth range 800 - 1700 m
Distribution:  Cosmopolitan. Polar to tropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Depth based on occurrence record; to be replaced with better reference. Deep sea (Refs. 19, 1663), near bottom (Ref. 19). Occasionally near the surface at high latitudes (Ref. 2376).
