Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Strait of Georgia, British Columbia (Canada) to Baja California (Ref. 865).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Gray-white, usually ball shaped, with ring of spicules on dorsal surface. Usually 12.5-15.0 cm diameter (Ref. 865).
