Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 1 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Central Atlantic. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Commonly found burrowing in coral rubbles of the subtidal and intertidal zones (Ref. 415). Borings found in all types of coral rock throughout reef at all depths but are most common at reef crest in Porites asteroides and Acropora palmata (Ref. Commonly found burrowing in coral rubbles of the subtidal and intertidal zones (Ref. 87224).
