Distribution:  Cosmopolitan.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 95072. Known from subtidal areas (Ref. 83942). Found on seagrass Halimeda sp., and corals Porites sp., Madracis sp. and Agaricia sp. (Ref. 86568). Found from intertidal shell, gravel bed, and stone (ref. 130839) to 828 m depth, often with tunicates and algae (Ref. 87872). A surface deposit-feeder (Ref. 96292).
