Distribution:  Eastern Pacific, Antarctic and the Mediterranean: Alaska, USA, Canada and Kerguelen.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 116516. Known from infra- and circalittoral zones (Ref. 85338). Solitary (Ref. 2377). In coarse sand near Posidonia meadows, in crevices between rocks and in a small cave. Nocturnal, remains buried in the sand during the day (Ref. 114177).
