Comments A marine and fisheries biologist with more than 25 years of professional experience in Atlantic, Caribbean and Indo-Pacific coral reefs, African Great Lakes and European estuaries studying organisms, ecological processes, and impacts of human activities on aquatic ecosystems. Dr. Bos has studied life-histories and population dynamics of dominant sea stars such as Acanthaster planci (Crown-of-Thorns Sea Star), Protoreaster nodosus, and Archaster typicus in the Philippines and the sand dollar Echinodiscus bisperforatus in the Red Sea. His research further includes symbiotic relationships between reef organisms, reef fish biology and taxonomy, spiny lobster ecology, and seagrass restoration.
