Northeast Pacific: Alaska, Canada, USA. Climate: boreal to subtropical.
Shell length to 5 cm and arched to 1.5 cm shell height (Ref. 95344). Found high on the beach, in deep cracks and depressions, typically in shaded and sheltered areas, often where there is freshwater seepage (Ref. 95344). Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
