Epithecal wall and corallite covered with bright orange tissue. Tentacles are yellow and usually withdrawn. Colony dendroid, branching uniplanar, with one elongate, straight axial corallite. Several side branches are formed by extra-tentacular budding.
In rocky substrate, on exposed sites with moderate current. meters depth. Found at depths of 10 to 25 meters. (Ref. 128448).
