Depth range is based on occurrence in Australia (Ref. 102935); to be replaced with a better reference. Occurs in freshwater, estuarine and marine habitats. Typically found on shallow water close to the shore, on mud or detritus (Ref. 102937). Also on sandy-floored mangrove pools (Ref. 102935). Feeds largely on detritus and small crustaceans like amphipods and ostracods (Ref. 102937).
