Occurs at depths between 50-200m, in areas of silt to very fine sand (Ref. 96391). Free-living (Ref. 3123). Main food and feeding type based on another species from the same Genus (Ref. 96418). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
