Inhabits many gastropod shells such as those of Cerithium vulgatum, Nassarius incrassatus, Ocenebra aciculata, and Turritella communis (Ref. 105639). In general, pagurids are detritivores (Ref. 107006). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
