Maximum depth from Ref. 99823. Inhabits gastropod shells encrusted with Epizoanthus ramosus polyps (Ref. 8193). Found on muddy or sandy bottom (Ref. 99823). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
