Body up to 0.035 cm long, with up to 24, 12 to 16 tentacles, simple, short up to 0.05 cm when fully extended; 8 to 12 statocysts.
Members of the order Actinulida include L-form hydroids. Life cycle: The zygote may either develop into an actinula or planula; if planula is released, it directly transforms into an actinula (Ref. 833).
