Marine, planktonic; found in waters with a temperature of 19Â°C of higher (Ref. 1134). Members of the class Appendicularia are protandrous hermaphrodites. Life cycle: Eggs develop into hatchlings (feeding juveniles) before turning into adults (Ref. 833).
