Climate / Range
Northeast Pacific: Alaska to Mexico. Subtropical to boreal.
Associated with the sea anemone, Anthopleura elegantissima and the giant green anemone, A. xanthogrammica, where it typically feeds. Burrows in sand when exposed at low tide (Ref. 95344). Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
