It has lengths of 1.5 to 3 cm (male) and 1.8 to 3.4 cm (female), carapace length including rostrum; 2.6 cm, smallest ovigerous female (Ref. 4). On muddy bottoms (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
