Minimum depth from Ref. 87801. It is found on hard substrates like rocks and gravel but are also found on sandy bottoms and kelp holdfasts (Ref. 87801). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
