Colonial (Ref. 19). Known from mangroves (Ref. 86642, 86643), tidal inlets, sheltered areas of bays, sounds and still-water areas of anchialine ponds; limited to shallow-water benthic habitats (Ref. 86643). Reproduction occurs only in hydroid stage (Ref. 1663, p. 13).
