Indo-West Pacific: from Sri Lanka to Melanesia; north to Japan and south to southern Indonesia and probably eastern Queensland.
Collected locally and marketed for food and shell trade (Ref. 349). From shallow waters (Ref. 349). Members of the order Neogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
