Indo-West Pacific: Sri Lanka to the Philippines and Wallis and Futuna Islands.
Maximum carapace length: 2.0 cm (male); 2.9 cm (female) (Ref. 8). Found on inland lagoons and ponds, rare in the sea; usually in water with low salinity (Ref. 8). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
