Total length range: 5.2 to 5.7 cm (male); 5.0 to 7.0 cm (female). Carapace length range: 0.85 to 1.1 cm (male); 1.0 to 1.5 cm (female) (Ref. 8). Inhabits muddy or sandy bottom (Ref. 96667). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833). Spawns from June to July, with peak in June (Ref. 116211).
