It has lengths of 18 cm, total body length; 3 to 5 cm, carapace length (Ref. 4). Prefers mud, or mud and rubble substrates (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
