Maximum depth from Ref. 106819. Found in the littoral to sublittoral zones (30 m) (Ref. 77016). Inhabits areas with microalgae and is found on seagrass habitats with rocky or sandy muddy substrates (Ref. 85383). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
