This species is found intertidal and offshore, in coral reefs, mangroves, and cienaga facies, particularly on algae, ascidian, coral, octocoral, rock, sand, seagrass and sponge habitats (Ref. 83934). On oyster reef (Ref. 109264). Members of the order Neotaenioglossa are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
