This is an epipelagic species found in the water column (Ref. 83922). Feeds on mangrove leaf detritus (Ref. 67428). Adults are carnivorous. However, omnivory is possible with their feeding appendages. (Ref. 111602). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
