Northeast Pacific: Canada, USA, Mexico. Climate: temperate to tropical.
Found on the black turban snail, Tegula funebralis, and occasionally on the California mussel, Mytilus californianus (Ref. 95344). Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
