It is found on rocky and soft bottoms from shallow waters to a depth of 600 meters (Ref. 865). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833). Also Refs. 78177, 111898, 111904 (Ref. 56049).
