Northeast Pacific: Alaska to Mexico.
Found on rocks along open coasts in shallow subtidal areas to depths of 61 m. Shell may be covered with coralline algae (Ref. 95344). Members of the order Patellogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
