Found at depths to 100 m (Ref. 2376). Also Ref. 102997 (Ref. 90389). Specimen was collected from Saanich Inlet, British Columbia and spawning was observed at Friday Harbor Laboratories, Friday Harbor, Washington (Ref. 116129).
