An endobenthic species occupying anoxic sediments oxygenated by bioturbation (Ref. 91923), i.e., callianassid or thalassinid burrows on grass beds with muddy sand substrates (Ref. 91574) in bays and nearshore areas (Ref. 91958). Members of the class Cephalocarida are simultaneous hermaphrodites (Ref. 833).
