Minimum depth from Ref. 97531. Found intertidal with algae (Ref. 77944), on seagrass beds, coral reefs and on flotsam (Ref. 83922). Also on muddy, sandy substrates (Ref. 99823) and emergent vegetation (Ref. 97531). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
