Polyps are elongate, 0.5 to 4.0 mm in length, without tentacles, and 10-20 or more per colony (Ref. 87236).
Depth range recorded from Belize (Ref. 87226). Found in Carrie Bow Cay, Belize in reef areas at depths of about 5 to 8 m (Ref. 87226). Reproduction occurs only in medusoid stage (Ref. 1663, p. 16).
