Climate / Range
Indo-West Pacific: from East Africa to Melanesia; north to southern Japan, and south to southern Queensland.
Commonly collected by shrimp trawlers, sometimes in large quantities (Ref. 349). Dredged alive in 30 m near Meyer Island (Ref. 88739). Members of the order Neogastropoda are mostly gonochoric and broadcast spawners. Life cycle: Embryos develop into planktonic trocophore larvae and later into juvenile veligers before becoming fully grown adults (Ref. 833).
