Undergoes diel vertical migration; occurs in the epipelagic zone at night (Ref. 97393). Found at depths between 300 to 550 meters during the day (Ref. 96715). Largely piscivorous (Ref. 97393). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
