It has a maximum total body length of 15 cm; and a carapace length of 4 to 7 cm (Ref. 4). Occurs at depths between (393-) 451 and 550 m with muddy substrates (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
