Carapace lengths of 5 to 14 cm for males and 4 to 5 cm for females (Ref. 4). Occurs at depths between 434 and 591 m (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
