Occurs at a depth range between 230 and 360 (-400) m with a soft substrate of mud or coralline rubble (Ref. 4). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
