Known from coastal waters, oceanic or slope water; spring through early winter; medusae withdraw all tentacles up under the contracted bell when disturbed (Ref. 2376). Species listed only in medusoid stage (Ref. 1663, p. 18). Poly not known (Ref. 2376).
