Assumed maximum length from Ref. 822. Found from low intertidal to subtidal areas. Common from winter through the summer season (Ref. 7726). Free-living (Ref. 3123). Feeds on hydroid species (Ref. 822), and tubularian bryozoans and tunicates (Ref. 7726). The species displays poecilogonony as its reproductive strategy (Ref. 99837).
