An omnivore; known to feed on algae, polychaetes, sponges, echinoderms, molluscs, crustaceans, organic detritus, and carrion (Ref. 97241). Carnivore (Ref. 108394). Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
