The densities of the hydroid are high up to 1 per cm squared. Found always with Heterochone species in depths 23 to 1311 m (Ref. 7482). Members of the order Anthoathecata are mostly colonial A-form hydroids. Life cycle: The zygote develops into planula inside the gonophore and is later released as an actinula which metamorphoses into polyp stage (Ref. 833).
